SAFARI TIA!

Yesterday we took a safari trip to see what kinds of fascinating creatures live in our habitat. Here is Tia with her safari kit: a tape measure, ruler and a magnifying glass. First, we measured Tia so we would know what was bigger and what was smaller than her. It is especially important to know when something is big when you are on safari. Tia is exactly 3ft. tall.

Here is our safari destination. We hoped to see lots of big game and wildlife!

First, we spotted a wild mushroom and found that at only 1/2 and inch, it was much smaller than Tia.

Then, we spotted some real wild life!! A garden snail named Peep! Garden snails are sticky and they have long necks. They can be pretty scary when you aren't expecting to find one. Tia wasn't scared at all! Here is Tia trying to coax Peep into a bigger shell. He was happy with his current real estate.

After all of this safari excitement, we decided to go back to camp and have some lunch. Bye Peep!

I want to go on a safari now too! Tell Tia that Ref and I saw a bunny and a woodpecker the other day! You're such a wonderful mommy-teacher!
