Happy Birthday Marie!!!!!

Happy, happy Birthday, Rhee!!!
Love you more and more and more every day!

what we did today

Here is what we did today...

played
ate candy corn

fooled around

Here is what we did NOT do today...
laundry

dishes

or get dressed in outside clothes.

tall

Tia is getting so tall!!!! Honest to goodness, she grew a whole inch and a half in the last month!
One morning she woke up and she had grown straight through her pajamas! I'm not kidding!

Must be all of the sunshine & fresh air!

The Getty!

We finally visited the Getty! This place is spectacular, at least the outside is!! Yes, we went to the Getty and saw no art! I guess this counts as art...

Daddy and Tia taking in the breathtaking views. (Maybe this guy saw some art)

Lovely Tia.

Beautiful everywhere.

And, by the way, to get to the Getty, you have to take a train up into the mountains from the parking structure on the ground level. You can see the whole of Los Angeles unfold from the train. This was, of course, a high point for us.

I wish I had taken more pictures: Next time. In the meantime, see for your self

EARTHQUAKE!!

This just in: An earthquake has hit Southern California, but, thankfully, it looks like any damage was limited exclusively to Tia's room in Los Angeles. Here is our roving reporter to cover the damage. Strange... everything stayed on the walls, but the floors are still entirely ransacked.

Stay tuned for updates on this very odd bedroom disaster with your eye in the sky- Tia!

Sunday

I'm gonna watch you shine
Gonna watch you grow
Gonna paint a sign
So you'll always know
As long as one and one is two
There could never be a father
Who loved his daughter more than I love you

Tiangelo

Tia is learning to paint like the great masters. We decided to do a ceiling painting just like the Sistine Chapel. Here is Tia mixing her paints. She is going to paint on the roof of our big table.

She is very serious about painting (just like the great masters). Mamma took a ton of pictures to document her work for future art history scholars. Process is very important.

tar pit discoveries

We have recently visited the Tar Pit Museum. We discovered that it is pretty boring.
But, you can go up on the roof, which is pretty amazing. And they have turtles and koi fish, but these are hard to get pictures of.
Tia on the roof overlooking beautiful Los Angeles.

They have mammoths; they are pretty boring.

But we pretend they are elephants, which is a lot more exciting.

play...

Play is the work of the child.

Tia hits Rodeo Drive

Here is Tia on Rodeo Drive, the Rodeo Drive. And, would you believe, it is raining outside?! This is rain in Southern California!!

Our first trip to LACMA!

We took our first trip to LACMA last week. Here is Ms. Tia playing at the beautiful entrance. They have very BIG, red elevators! We got the whole thing to ourselves. (not too busy today!)
Here is their fantastic playroom- which, sadly, is closing soon for renovations.

Of course, we couldn't leave without making some art. Here is Tia contributing to Cali culture!

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

Tia sighting!

Our cameras caught Tia Magnolia on the streets of LA today. She has been very busy these days- stay tuned for lots more Tia news!
